Lucinda E. Leary

Lucinda E. Heatherly Leary, 81, of Elkins, and more recently of Nell's Nursing Home at Crystal Springs, died March 31 at the nursing home. She had been in declining health.

She was born Saturday, April 16, 1921, in Mill Creek, a daughter of the late David L. Heatherly and Anna B. Bosley Kittle Heatherly. On Feb. 4, 1943 she was married to Russell D. Leary, who preceded her in death.

Surviving is a niece Maxine Collett of Thomas; a great-niece Jennifer Conrad of Cumberland, Md.; and one great-nephew Forest Conrad of Thomas.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

She attended the schools of Randolph County, was a homemaker and a member of the Elkins-Randolph County Senior Center and the First Baptist Church.

Friends will be received at First Baptist Church Wednesday from 10 am to 11 am the funeral hour. The Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Parli and the Rev. Nancy I. Stevens will officiate and interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Elkins. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
