Berkeley County West Virginia Biography of Aaron FULK


         Aaron FULK, born December 9, 1826, was a native of Berkeley County, the son of Frederick and Catherine (Bretcher) Fulk. On December 7, 1852, in Jefferson County, West Virginia, he and Ellen N. Smurr were married. She was born March 20, 1832, and her parents were Jacob and Eliza (Randall) Smurr, both deceased before 1884. Aaron and Ellen N. Fulk had the following children: John H. Fulk, September 6, 1853-?; George W. Fulk, October 25, 1855-?; Mary F. Fulk, August 12, 1862-?; Charles R. Fulk, March 4, 1869-?; Albert B. Fulk, August 14, 1871-?; and Anna V. Fulk, May 24, 1874-?.

         Mr. Fulk was a farmer at Van Clevesville, Arden district and was on the board of education for that district for 10 years.
