Berkeley County West Virginia Biography of William KILMER


         William KILMER, son of Henry and Elizabeth (Seibert) Kilmer, whose home had been in Berks County, Pennsylvania, was born in Berkeley County, West Virginia on February 10, 1820.

         On January 20, 1842, he married Ann A. Davis in Jefferson County, West Virginia. She was the daughter of George D. and Susan (Davis) Seibert, natives of Berkeley County, and was born December 31, 1823. William and Ann Kilmer had eight children: Susan E. Kilmer, born October 7, 1844-?; William H. Kilmer, June 2, 1847-?; Davis B. Kilmer, January 30, 1849-August 12, 1849; Charles S. Kilmer, December 15, 1850-?; George C. Kilmer, June 26, 1853-February 9, 1863; Catherine V. Kilmer, February 14, 1856-?; Thomas M. Kilmer, February 10, 1858-May 2, 1862; Noble C. Kilmer, November 2, 1860-April 5, 1862; and Helen M. Kilmer, January 30, 1862-?.

         Mr. Kilmer was a farmer in Bunker Hill, Mill Creek District, Berkeley County, West Virginia. His wife died at home on that farm.
