Berkeley County West Virginia Biography of George D. MILLER


         George D. MILLER was born in Berkeley County, West Virginia, in 1816, son of William and Sarah (Hensell) Miller, early settlers in that county.

         On December 26, 1839, in the Gerrardstown district, George D. Miller and Eliza A. Pitzer, also a Berkeley County native born there in 1822, were married. Her parents were Jacob and Nancy (Ramsburg) Pitzer, who were also born in that county.

         Children of George D. and Eliza A. Miller were Mary C. Miller, October 9, 1841-?; David P. Miller, August 13, 1843-?, married Mary C. Bender on December 22, 1864; Nancy E. Miller, December 6, 1845-?, married Jacob Aiken in December 1875; J.W.T. Miller, January 12, 1847-?; Emily Virginia Miller, March 12, 1850-December 3, 1872; Sarah A. Miller, September 4, 1853-?, married Robert G. Horner on June 13, 1876; Margaret B. Miller, March 25, 1856-?; Rebecca E. Miller, May 1, 1859-?, married John Weller in May 1878; and George L. Miller, January 7, 1862-?.

         George D. Miller was a farmer in Gerrardstown, Berkeley County, West Virginia.
