Hedgesville on March 25, 1852. Her mother died April 1881. One child was born to Benjamin S. and Ida V. Speck: Thomas H., March 22, 1875-?.
Mr. Speck was a farmer with a farm adapted to raising sheep in Hedgesville, Berkeley County, West Virginia.

Benjamin S. SPECK was born in Berkeley County in the Hedgesville district, near North Mountain Station, on November 2, 1851, the son of Benjamin C. and Mary Ann (Seibert) Speck.
His father died April 1879, at the age of 67, and his mother in June 1880, at 63.
