Berkeley County, West Virginia Biography of D.T. WILLIAMSON


         D.T. WILLIAMSON was born in Berkeley County in 1848, the son of Jacob and Eliza (McQuilkin) Williamson, long-time residents of that county. Mr. Williamsonís ancestors were early settlers in that section of the country and were participants in its early hardships and subsequent prosperity.

         On March 15, 1881, in Hagerstown, Maryland, D.T. Williamson and Ida M. Knipe were married. She was the daughter of George and Sarah (Haines) Knipe, who lived in Greensburg, Berkeley County. D.T. and Ida Williamson had one child: McQuilkin Williamson, January 8, 1882-?.

         D.T. Williamson was a farmer in the Opequon district of Berkeley County, with a mailing address of Martinsburg, West Virginia.
