WILLIAM PAUL KING, 80, of Milton went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 8, 2002, in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2002, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton, with Dr. Boyd Purcell, Ph.D., officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Milton. He was born September 30, 1921, a son of the late William and Lessie Gothard King. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann King. He was a 30-year employee of Union Carbide as a chemical truck diver. He was owner and operator of the Mountaineer Opera House in Milton, and a member of the Milton Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner. He was an avid horseman and a past member of the Cabell County Public Recreation Board. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Rebecca and Lewis Stowers of Milton; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Paul Fredrick King of Milton and Charles Michael and Dreama King of Culloden; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Otto and Janet King of Hurricane, Earl Algeo and Charlene King of Florida and James Fredrick and Frances King of Culloden; two sisters, Olive G. King Hibner McMillian of Venice, Fla., and Eva Fussell of Fredrick, Md.; three grandchildren, Michelle Stowers Smith, Katelyn King and April King. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Dr., Charleston, WV 25311. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton.
