Fred “Fritz” Leuenberger, 78, of Poca, formerly of Culloden, died July 11, 2000, at home.
He was a retired tool and die maker for Volkswagen, South Charleston, and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Hurricane.
Surviving: daughters, Marion Sovine of Poca, Lavonne Leuenberger of Huntington, Christy Leuenberger of Hurricane, Patty Savage of Hanover Park, Illinois, and Joyce Wilsek of Washington; sons, Ted Klomp of Ocala, Florida, Louis Clomp of Lawton, Oklahoma, Fred P. Leuenberger of Woodridge, Illinois, and Joe Wilsek of Downers Grover, Illinois; brothers, Ernie and Bill, both of Camden, New York; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Service was held July 15, 2000 at Ferrell Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Kenneth Greene officiating. Burial was in Sovine Community Cemetery, Culloden.
