| ANTHONY E. "POPEYE" MOUNT SR., 73, of Huntington, W.Va., a dedicated, loving husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2003, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2003, at the Second Guyandotte Missionary Baptist Church, 714 5th Ave., Guyandotte, conducted by the Rev. Doug Spurlock. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery, Lesage. He was born on March 6, 1930, in Cabell County, West Virginia, son of the late Alva and Lillie Miller Mount. He was a retired school bus driver with the Cabell County school system with 35 years service; a 1948 graduate of Huntington East High School; and was a member of the Second Guyandotte Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Mount. He is survived by his son, Tony Mount Jr. of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Ed Dixon of Huntington and Penny and Kevin Morrison of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Charles Douglas of Ona; nieces and their husbands, Debbie and Greg Hesson of Ona and Theresa and Tim Coleman of Ona; grandchildren, Eric Mount, Cindy Ratcliff, Clinton Mount, Robert Mount, Tina Porter and Tara Deal, all of Huntington; nine great-grandchildren; two very special friends, Barbara Zirkle and Frances Morrison, both of Huntington. Pallbearers serving will be Eric, Clinton and Robert Mount, Danny Ratcliff, Don Porter and James Deal. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Beard Mortuary, Huntington.
