ELOISE SPURLOCK, 74, of Lesage, wife of Clyde J. Spurlock, went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 15, 2003, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2003, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Max Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. She was born June 23, 1929, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late George Sr. and Alfie Stowasser Spurlock. Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Eleanor Merritt, Imogene Faye Bailey and Bessie Irene Bailey; and one brother, Henry Spurlock. Eloise was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Sunrise United Methodist Church of Glenwood, W.Va. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Linda and Harold Harshbarger of Milton, W.Va., Anita and Kenneth Saunders of Ashton, W.Va.; one son and his spouse, Eric D. and Barbara Spurlock of Glenwood, W.Va.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine and Dallas Greathouse of Lesage, W.Va., Ethel and Max Hesson of Glenwood, W.Va.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, George Spurlock Jr. and Alice of Glenwood, W.Va., and Roger Spurlock of Lesage, W.Va.; one brother-in-law, Harry Spurlock of Lesage; grandchildren, Chad Harshbarger and his wife Stephanie of Milton, Seth Harshbarger of Camp Lejuene, N.C., Danny Saunders and his wife Katie of Lesage, Lauren Spurlock and Michael Spurlock, both of Glenwood; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2003, at Chapman's Mortuary.
