JIMMY F. SHOCKLEY SR., 62, of Huntington, husband of Sally Erwin Shockley, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 23, 2003, in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2003, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with the Rev. Harry Bailey and the Rev. Jonathan Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. He was born July 24, 1941, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late William O. Shockley and Eva Marie Harmon Shockley Harshbarger. In addition to his parents, a sister and brother preceded him in death. He was a retired laborer for the City of Huntington Street Department and a member of Highlawn Full Gospel Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie Bolen of Huntington and Pamela and Richard Leffingwell of Proctorville, Ohio; a son and his fiancée, Jimmy F. Shockley Jr. and Kristine Shockley of Proctorville, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Lucas of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mary Appeldorn of Huntington; one brother, Charles Shockley of Huntington; seven grandchildren, James Shockley, Bradley and Jessy Bolen, Bradley, Nick, Derek and Brandon Leffingwell; a special niece, Sandra Sadler Hall of Detroit, Mich.; and a special fishing partner, David Perkins. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2003, at Chapman's Mortuary.
