LEO HENRY BLAKE, 96, of Huntington passed away Monday, September 22, 2003, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Randy Spurgeon, minister of music and youth at Westmoreland Baptist Church. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery, Cabell County, West Virginia. He was born November 18, 1906, in Cabell County, W.Va., a son of the late Leroy and Dora Chandler Blake. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII. He was a former employee of the Georgetown Galleries and retired from Marshall University as a security guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Emma Bexfield Blake; a grandson, Shawn Blake; four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorothy McComas Blake; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Sinclair L. Blake, Dewey M. and Sharon Blake and Denver L. Blake, all of Huntington; three grandchildren, Daniel Blake, Zane Blake and Tara Lockhart; four stepgrandchildren, Mark Cornell, Chad Cornell, Jeanna Blatt and Beth Sanders; and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Reger Funeral Home.
