12. MERRITT CEMETERY #2, Barboursville, 500 ft. E. Canter St. and T_m_ark Lane, on C. C. Swann property, 50 ft. W. railroad.
Established 1873 as a private burial ground; extent, 20 x 20 ft.; no restrictions as to type and placing of markers; fenced; not landscaped; condition, poor.  Lots not marked; graves marked by granite monuments, no burial records kept; no longer in use as burial ground.  Earliest stone dated 1873. This burial plot is situated on the site of probably the oldest residence in Barboursville.  Marked graves, 3, unmarked graves, unknown.
