YATES OR YATESMONT CEMETERY
Ona, Cabell Co., WV
Located off of Howells Mill Road, Ona, WV. Turn north at the
red light on US 60 in Ona on Howell's Mill road. Go about a mile,
pass the railroad overpass, and up the following hill. Before you
top the hill there is a dirt road on the left with a sign reading
"Yatesmont, The Burdette Farm." Turn left onto this
road. Turn left again at the fork in the road and enter the
Burdette farm. The cemetery is on the left within sight of the
road, and across from the old home place. The cemetery is fenced
and well maintained. Also known as the Burdette Cemetery.
The following list was compiled by actual reading of the
tombstones. All the information, excluding annotation, is written
on the tombstone. Annotations are included following the entry
for the majority of the stones. Abbreviations are used for the
following: d/o - dau of; s/o - son of; c/o - child of; w/o - wife
