William J. Emery, 79 years old, 1940 Third avenue, veteran of the Civil War, died at his home yesterday morning at 7:45 o'clock of a sudden heart attack. Mr. Emery was ill only a short time and died before the arrival of a physician.
Mr. Emery had been serving as a petit juror in common pleas court and was shaving at his home, preparing to go to the court house when he was stricken. He had served on the jury Wednesday. Dr. B. L. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic and members of the Huntington chapter will have charge of the funeral. Pending the arrival of relatives from out of the city, the funeral arrangements had not been completed last night.
