WILLIAM H. JEFFREYS
William H. Jeffreys, 84, a veteran of theConfederate army, died late yesterday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Scott Brown, rear 446 Third avenue. He was a native of Virginia, but was long a resident of Ironton, O. He leaves three sons, Frank, of this city, Sam, of Kenova, and James, of Ironton; one brother, James, of Henderson, W. Va., and two sisters, Mary Jeffreys of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Ella Adkins, of Ironton, O. Funeral services will be conducted at the Brown residence at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon, by Adjutant C. A. Trew, of the Salvation Army. He will be buried at Spring Hill cemetery.
