DEATHS


JAMES W. LINDSEY--Eighty years old, 2975 Merrill avenue, died at his home last night at 5:45 o'clock. Mr. Lindsey had been in ill health for several years and for four weeks was confined to his home. He was a veteran employee of the Chesapeake & Ohio railway shops. Ill health compelled him to retire from active service five years old. He was born near Middleport, O., and at the age of sixteen entered the Union army. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Fannie Lindsey, four daughters, Mrs. Julian E. Spencer, of Charleston, Mrs. Roxie Hamilton and Miss Eunice Lindsey, at home, Mrs. George Thompson, of Huntington; one son John Lindsey, at home, and several brothers. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

DEATHS


JAMES W. LINDSEY--Eighty years old, 2975 Merrill avenue, will be buried today. Funeral services will be conducted from the Guyandotte M. E. church at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be made at Spring Hill cemetery. Mr. Lindsey, a retired Chesapeake & Ohio railway employe and a Civil War Veteran, died at his home Sunday afternoon. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Fannie Lindsey, five daughters, Mrs. Harry Cleaton, Pennsylvania; Mrs. Julian E. Spencer, of Charleston, Mrs. Roxie Hamilton and Miss Eunice Lindsey, at home, and Mrs. George Thompson, of this city, and one son, John Lindsey, at home, and several brothers.
