GEORGE FRANKLIN MILLER
   Word of the death of George Franklin Miller, a Civil war veteran and former resident of Cabell county, was received here yesterday from his home in Indianapolis.
   Mr. Miller known as Frank Miller to his many friends, was born in Barboursville, August 24, 1844. While yet a boy he served as page to General Jenkins while the latter was serving in congress.
   When was was declared, Mr. Miller had not yet become of age but he enlisted with the Confederate army and had an enviable record throughout the war.
   At the close of the war Mr. Miller moved to Cincinnati and there engaged in business. After a few years he moved to Indianapolis and took up a very active political and social life. he was elected to the city treasurers office and filled the position admirably for a great number of years.
   A few years ago his health became so impaired that he was forced to retire to private life.
   He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. B. H. Thackston and Mrs. George F. Miller both of Huntington and two brothers, J. W. Miller and Colonel J. S. Miller of Kenova. He is also survived by a daughter Valette, who has been his constant companion since the death of his wife in 1913.
   Services will be held at his home on Thursday of the week. Interment at the Indianapolis cemetery.
