E. Scarberry, 80, died at the residence of his son, E. J. Scarberry, 807 Twenty-seventh street, at nine o'clock last night.
Mr. Scarberry was a native of Ohio but removed to West Virginia when a lad and had lived in Cabell county for several years.
He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served with the Union forces during the four years of the conflict between the North and South.
He is survived by one son, E. J. Scarberry, of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. Mollie Hollie, of Huntington; Mrs. Eliza Porter, of Columbus, Ohio; and Mrs. Stella White, of LeSage.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
