OBITUARY
Funeral Saturday For Pfc. Murphy
Marine Pfc. Herbert Burgess Murphy, 18 of 1200 Marcum Terrace,
who was killed in action in Vietnam, will be buried in White
Chapel Memorial Gardens following funeral services Saturday at
1:30 p.m. The Services will be conducted by the Rev. Dewey Parr
at the Highlawn Church of Christ.
A Marine Corps spokesman said Pfc. Murphy died of fragmentation
wounds when an explosive device was set off. He was on a road
mine-sweeping detail.
The body is at Chapman's Mortuary where friends may call after 6
p.m. today. It will be taken to the church an hour before the
service.
