ADKINS, Hubert Darrell
HUBERT DARRELL ADKINS — Fourteen years old, of
Barboursville, died yesterday morning at 9:15 o'clock at a Huntington
hospital following a brief illness of pneumonia. Funeral
services will be conducted at the Barboursville Baptist church tomorrow
afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. P. H. Williams Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at Oaklawn cemetery. He is survived by the parents, Mr.
and Mrs. General Adkins; two brother, and a sister. -The Herald-Dispatch,

J. W. ADKINS — Ninety-seven years old, who died
Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Maude Price of Branchland
Route 2, will be buried in the Adkins Cemetery near the home following
funeral services at 2 P. M. tomorrow at the daughter's home with the Rev. E.
E. Turner of Huntington officiating. Mr. Adkins leaves 177 direct
descendants, including the daughter, seven sons, 53 grandchildren, 93
great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren. The body will be
taken to the Price home a 11 A. M. today from the McGhee Funeral Home at

JEFFERSON D. ADKINS — Forty-seven years old, of
954 Monroe avenue, died early yesterday morning in a local hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Garnet Adkins; two sons, Blair and Gordon
Adkins; a daughter, Mildred Adkins, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Venila
Adkins; seven brothers, Charles Adkins of Shoals, W. Va., Albert Adkins of
Wayne, B. E. and T. W. Adkins of Huntington, George Adkins of Proctorville,
O., and Clarence and Elmer Adkins of Nye, W. Va., and five sisters, Mrs.
Sarah Beaty of Toledo, O., Mrs. James Thacker of Shoals, Mrs. Hazel Abbott
and Mrs. Catherine Burton of Nye, and Mrs. Gracie Hall of Costa, W. Va.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the
Jefferson Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. A. M. Barlow,
pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland cemetery. -The
