DEATH OF MRS. CURNUTT
   Mrs. Curnutt, wife of V. B. Curnett, the letter carrier died last night after a lingering illness of consumption.
  Mrs. Curnutt was 36 years of age, and was the daughter of Rev. John T. Johnson, of Round Bottom, Wayne county.  She was a good christian woman, and was loved by all who knew her.  Two little children survive her.
   The remains were taken to her former home in Lawrence county, Kentucky, this afternoon for burial. -The Huntington Advertiser, Saturday Evening, January 9, 1897, pg. 1
