LUSHER, Betty Burns 62, of Barboursville, W.Va., when to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 21, 1996, in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 1996, at Cyrus Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Richard Black and the Rev. Windord Curry. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born May 10, 1933 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Bias Burns. Betty was a member Cyrus Creek Baptist Church and KYOWVA Genealogical Society. She was also an avid researcher of her family's history for over 40 years, and an author for Hearthstone Magazine and a number of Dennis Deitz's Mountain Memories Books. Survivors include her husband, Terry W. Lusher; a daughter and son-in-law, Kayla and Tim Spencer of Ona, W.Va.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Terry Lusher Jr. and Debbie Lusher, and Bill and Becky Lusher; two sisters, Dorothy Steele of Huntington and Janice O'Lynn of Fort Myers, Fla; five grandchildren, Steven, Jeffrey, Bradley, Brooke, and Bree'Ann; and a host of many wonderful friends made throughout her lifetime. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, and after 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. -The Herald-Dispatch, April 1996
