Ida Mae Bolden Myers
(November 11, 1912 - August 25, 2007)
Ida Mae Bolden Myers was born November 11, 1912 in Alabama to
Martha Bolden. Ida was the youngest of 14 children and was
reared by her aunt Rosie Saunders in Pennsylvania. In 1933 Ida
married Walter Allen Myers who preceded her in death in 2003.
They were married for 70 years. Ida had two children Martha
Lauerena and Walter Allen Myers Jr. from the time she was
married. Ida lived in the Tri-State area where she reared her
family. She was a floral designer and worked for St. Mary’s
Hospital. Ida was a member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church
in Huntington West Virginia and also a member of the Catholic
Daughters of America. Ida Mae had eleven grandchildren of which
10 survived. She leaves behind 6 great-grandchildren, and 2
great-great grandchildren. A host of loving family and friends
also survive. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:30am Saturday
September 1, 2007 at the St. Peter Catholic Church Visitation
will be held from 10:00am until service time at the church.
Entombment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens,
Barboursville. The care and services are under the direction of
Ferrell-Chambers Funeral Home, Huntington.
