SULLIVAN, Amanda Mrs. Amanda Sullivan, 91, a native of Wayne county, died Friday afternoon, due to advance senility.  Her burial will take place this morning at 10 o'clock, at her former home, at Prices Creek, Wayne county.  Rev. Mr. Holly, of the Methodist Episcopal church there will have charge of the funeral exercises.  Mrs. Sullivan was born in Wayne county, July 15, 1832, and was there raised.  Her father was Andy Crockett, a pioneer settler of this section.  She was in the year 1853, married to Jacob Sullivan and seven children were born to that union, one of them now 67 years old.  She lived in Wayne county, until a few weeks ago, when she came to make her home with a son, at 1938 Foster street.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Minnie Spurlock, of this city, six sons, Andy Sullivan and Nathaniel Sullivan, of Wayne county, and David Sullivan, William Sullivan, Charles Sullivan, and Jacob Sullivan, of Huntington and a great number of grandchildren. -The Herald-Dispatch, Sunday, May 6, 1923

SULLIVAN, Georgia Of Lavalette, died at 8:30 P.M. last night in a Huntington hospital after an illness of two weeks.  Survivors include the husband, Laidley; three sons, Clarence Lee, at home, Carl of Dunellen, N.J., and Ralph Sullivan, Marine Corps; and a daughter, Mrs. G. H. Sellards of Lavalette. The body is at the Reger Funeral Home. -The Herald-Dispatch, Friday, Nov 2, 1951
