Seeking informationon Thomas Cairns, who was born in England in 1871. They moved to Charleston, WV, but I do not know the year. They lived at 503 Grant Street. In 1940 Thomas was the president of the West Virginia Federation of Labor. I am very interested to know how he progressed from coal miner to this labor position. 5:37 PM 06/05/2001

Seeking information on Thomas J. (poss. Jefferson) Agnew and Martha McConnihay. They had five children together, 3 names are known: Thomas "Tommy", Williams S. "Billy", and John James "Johnny". Thomas J. Agnew was killed in a bridge building accident on 12 March 1848 somewhere in Kanawha County. Is anyone else researching the Agnew or McConnihay families of this area? on 6:52 AM 06/09/2001
