I am trying to identify the parents of my great-grandmother Elizabeth S. Gregg Powell, b. 12 May 1837, Charleston, Greenbrier (Kanawha) County, VA (WV). Sometime between her birth and marriage date, 18 Sep 1859, she and possibly her family moved to Lee Co., IA where she married my Great-grandfather Levin Powell, b. 22 July 1837, Belmont Co., OH. In searching available Census and Tithable records on this site, I have not been able to find any reference to a Gregg family living here at that time 3:28 PM 10/07/2000
