12/1/1977 Racine, WV. Buried Cunningham Cem. St. Albans, WV. His son Silvia
MASON Jr. b. 10/1/1923 d. 12/29/1987. Silvia Jr. was my father. I am looking

I am searching for Thomas Johnson in the hopes of finding my great-grandfather William Johnson his brother. Thomas was born in Kanawha, Virginia according to his military records he was 44 years old on the of February 1864, which would make his birthdate somewhere around 1820. Wiliam's birthdate is about 1816. If anyone has any idea about these 2 gentleman please let me know. They lived in Lawrence County Ohio as of the 1860 census but prior to that I do not know also Their parents were born in Virginia according to the census information.

Searching for RUSSELL HOOVER who lived in Kanawha County in the 1930's.
Have no other information except his family was from Braxton County,
WV. His father was Jesse M. Hoover, mother Mary F. Stalnaker. Looking
for any descendants who might have information about Russell.

I'm looking for the family of my grandfather, Thomas JONES, Sr. Thomas
was born about 1905, I believe in Kanawha County (around Montgomery),
died 1930 in Logan; I don't know his father's name but his mother's name
was Hattie. He moved to Logan around 1920 when he married my
grandmother Ella HANSHAW (their children are Thomas, Jr., Hattie, Bruce,
and Emily [now deceased]). Thomas, Sr. had several brothers and
sisters: Cecil, Russell, Forrest, Chalmer, Raymond, Ruby and Cloy. We
believe that Thomas was the only one of his family to move out of the
Kanawha county area. Any help on this family would be very much

I am looking for information on the family of Samuel Gillispie. He
settled on the Fry Military survey abt. 1797 with his wife Elizabeth
(daughter of Theophilus and Margaret Blake). Samuel and Elizabeth had
nine children: Theophilus, Margaret, Nellie, Jean, Betsy, John, William,
Samuel Jr., and Sally. Samuel died in 1812 near Bull Creek. Any

Looking for the family of my great-grandfather, George Edward
CANTERBURY. He was (we believe) born in Logan County but lived most of
his life in Kanawha County and owned a sawmill there; George also had at
least one sibling, a sister named Matilda. George's son William, my
grandfather, was born about 1897 -- not sure which county. George died
in 1954 (was "very old"), and is buried at Alum Creek with his second
wife. Any and all information on the Canterbury family and/or the

I am seeking information on Pleasant THOMAS who died in Kanawha County,
WV in 1867 at the age of 69. His father was listed as James THOMAS and
his death notification was by his son, James M. THOMAS. My great
grandfather was James M. THOMAS, who lived in the Spring Hill area of
Kanawha County. In the 1850 census James M. THOMAS, family # 264-268,
was listed as age 30. I have been unable to find anything about his

Oct 1866, Kanawha co. Louisa born 1840-1844 Kanawha Co. Wesley
presumably died before 1870. There is a Louisa H. Burdett w/son William
1 month w?Wm Fisher family in 1870 Kanawha census, no relationship
listed. No info found after the marriage of Wesley Burdett.

(THOMAS) THOMAS. Brooks was born in 1858 at Spring Hill, Kanawha
County, Virginia and died March 19, 1923, also at Spring Hill, Kanawha
county, West Virginia. He had 11 sibblings: Leah E., Henry Clay, Joseph
W., James A., Helena Fannie, John Roger, Elizabeth (died at 41/2 years),
Lindsay A. or Lindsey A. (A Male), Philip S., Emma C., and Mathew or
Matthew. James A. THOMAS was my grandfather. Any information on Brooks

1868. Children of John and Sarah's were: John, Thomas, Frank, Maggie,
Ruth, Jenney, Noni, Ann, Jimmy and Robert. Thomas, b-1880, m-Mary
Elizabeth (Molly) Dangerfield ca 1905, Mary d-1918 in Charleston, WV.
There children were: Arville, Cecil, Joseph, James and Ruth. Record
indicated that John's mother may have been Prisscilla Gunnoe, b ca
