Looking for anyone who might be an authority on the St. Albans, Washington District. 1830 to 1880. I'm researching the Charles Jones (1770/1845) family, His wife Martha-----(1770/1864). His son George C. Jones 1801/1873 m. Annis Hill b. NY, 1833/1883, their children are Dienna, George, Lucy, Allan, Sarah, Martin Van, and Medora. Allan married Martha Miles Escue Nov. 30, 1873. Bertie, George, Alluta, Otto, b. in St. Albans area. 1877/1883, Zora and Roy born in Dawson, Nebraska. George may have had children by another marriage. Children; Charles, Joel, William, and Robert. Thank you for any further assistance that you may offer. Medora J. Jones 5/29/1859--m. Joseph Miles. Her family lived in the Washington District, according to the census. I think she was married abt. 1875. and Annis Hill born in NY Jan.18, 1824; married George C. Jones prior to 1847, d. 1883/1893. I am searching for information on Allen Judson Lewis b. 3/27/1896 in Butte, Montana d. 10/1974 ( he was the son of Joseph Clarence Lewis and Mary Somerville, his sister Mary Matilda Lewis Sheline was my great grandmother ) Allen had at least one son named Frederick Henderson Lewis b. 11/16/1919 d. 1/10/1943 aboard the USS Argonaut during WWII. In NARA records it states that his father (Allen) lived on 7th Street in Dunbar, Kanawha County WV. Seeking information on William David Sweet and wife Sally Staples Sweet who was in the Charleston and Cabin Creek area in the early 1900's. They had two sons born in Kanawha Co. , Rogar A. and Clarence Albert. One of these sons was born on Pumpkin Hill. I would like to know when they were in Kanawha and where, exactly. Trying to locate information on the Sweet line. Parents, and siblings of William David. He was born 1861 Va. However, the family may have originated in Ky. Perhaps, around Greenup. I am searching for information, on Lucy Jane Hudnall, b. March 29, 1860, in VA/WV She married James Richard Stone and was in the census for the Cabincreek district, They had her name spelled wrong and the year, of her birth, as one of her sons, my grandfather, They have her listed as Lua, and my grandfather as Harlen, I think her parents were, Thomas and Mary Hudnall but, cannot be for sure.
