Pat McCallister
Looking for info on Peter McCallister b abt 1815 m Rebecca McCallister 1839 in Kanawha Co.
I believe Peter's father was Joseph McCallister.
The above Peter sold his son Peter acreage in 1892. This land was listed as going to a corner of Putnam, Kanawha and Lincoln Co. This land was located on Trace Fork of Mud River. The land of Joseph according to a 1884 deed for Elizabeth McCallister (dower of Joseph) is located in Curry District of Putnam Co., on Trace Fork of Mud River.
I have a Joseph listed for Taxable property in Lower District of Kanawha Co for the year l840.
Any info on the above would be greatly appreciated. Also do you know who I could contact for info on Mt Moriah Church located on Turkey Creek Rd in Putnam Co.

James A. MAT(T)HEWS b. 1853 Smyth (or Wythe) Co. VA, m. 1878 Smyth Co.
VA to Martha Elizabeth ATWELL b. 1863 Smyth (or Wythe) Co. VA. They
moved to Kanawha Co. and raised their family on George's Creek
(including Malden). James worked as foreman of the Kelley Axe Factory
in Charleston. The family also resided in Charleston at some point.
The children of this family were:
John W. b. 1879; William E. b. 1886; Lillie b. 1890; George b. 1892;
Charles (my grandfather) b. 1894 in Malden; Harry b. 1898; Frank C. b.
1901; and Robert G. b. 1902.
I would love to hear from any potential cousins!

FANNY unknown or KATHLEEN SISTLER/SESSLER abt 1870 , Kanawha Co WV. I
would like to know which. Also, if anyone knows of the SISTLER/SESSLER

MCNEELY abt. 1850's married to Mary? WORKMAN known children are Sydney
b. 1879 married Flora JOHNSON b. 1883. There is a Joseph MCNEELY listed
with Sydney in the 1900 census, as boarders, living down the street from
Flora and her family. Her father was Zach JOHNSON. If anyone can help

I am trying to locate parents/siblings of Bailes Cooper, Sr., b.1776 Kan. Co. Va., d. 1853 Boone Co.,WV. The first fixed date for Bailes is Aug.2,1800 in Monroe Co. Va. when he married Rebecca Thompson. They went to Boone Co. in about 1813. I am not sure Bailes was born in Kanawha Co., but leads point to it.
