He died while in Plymouth NC with family but was a native of Richwood.
 

Final Rites for Newman Dotson

Final rites were held for Newman Dotson, 63, at the Richwood Baptist
Church Wednesday afternoon, March 3, with Rev. L. E. Powers, conducting.
Burial was in the Richwood cemetary.

A brief service was held in Plymouth at the Ludford Memorial Baptist
Church with the Rev. Paul B. Nickone, officiating, before the body was
brought to Richwood.

Dotson, who was the son of the late William and Rebecca H. Bay Dotson
of Summersville, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Etta M. Dotson, three
sons, James Dotson and Thomas Dotson, both of Plymouth, and William
Dotson of Richwood; one daughter, Mrs. L. A. Booth of Akron, Ohio; two
stepsons, Ora O. Collins and Ordie L. Collins, both of Richwood; one
brother, W. E. Dotson of Summersville; four sisters; Mrs. Minnie
Hamrick, Parkersburg, Mrs. Zorayda Goodbar, Huntington, Mrs. Lola
McKenney, Arlington, Va., and Miss Laura Dotson of Summersville.
