Kenneth C. Weber 

Kenneth Charles Weber, 75, of Buffalo Hills Rd., Franklin, and formerly of Baltimore, MD, died Friday, April 27, 2007, at the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin.

Mr. Weber was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Fremont, MI, and was a son of the late George Weber and Emma Mildred Bartee Weber.  

He was a veteran of the Air Force and was a sheet Rock installer and finisher.  He was a Baptist. 

His wife, Shirley Haddaway Weber, survives. 

Also surviving are a daughter Emma "Lisa" Rodgers of Franklin; a step-daughter, Linda King of Pittsburgh, PA; a step-son, Jimmy Haddaway of Tilghman Island, MD; a brother, George Weber, Jr., of Sunman, IN; two grandchildren, Samuel Charles Rodgers and Amber Faith Rodgers; three step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

He also was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Charles; and one sister, Joyce Tackett. 

The Rev. Danny Williams, Sr., conducted the funeral Wednesday at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin.  Burial was at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin with military honors by the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.   

Rita Seaton 54

Rita "Susie" Seaton, 54, of Harrisonburg, VA, died Monday, April 23, 2007.

Mrs. Seaton was born Dec. 26, 1952, in Augusta County, VA, and was the daughter of the late Denton and Antha Altizer. 

She graduated from Buffalo Gap High School in 1972.  She owned and operated the Burger House Restaurant in Harrisonburg, VA, with her husband for many years. 

On Jan. 4, 1973, she married Dennis K. Seaton, who survives. 

She is also survived by a son, Bradley A. Seaton of Harrisonburg, VA; a daughter, Kimberly L. Plaugher of Franklin; and a brother, Mark Allen Altizer of Tucson, AZ. 

Private services will be held at a later date.

Ella V. Mullenax

Ella Vaiden Dahmer Mullenax, 98, of Franklin died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin.

Mrs. Mullenax was born Sept. 4, 1908, at Dahmer and was the daughter of the late John Dahmer and Estella Dickenson Dahmer.

She was valedictorian of Franklin High Schoolís class of 1931 and was a graduate of Shepherd College, receiving her Standard Normal diploma in 1935 and her B.A. degree in 1937. She taught elementary school in Pendleton County for 12 years and worked at the Franklin Post Office for 20 years.

Mrs. Mullenax was Pendleton Countyís 1980 Mother of the Year and a member of the Doegal Society. She was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Womenís Circle.

On Aug. 28, 1938, she married Fred B. Mullenax, who preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2000.

She is survived by three daughters, Celia A. Miller of Franklin, Nancie E. Lambert of Bridgewater, VA, and Linda F. Mallow of Upper Tract; a son, Lannie C. Mullenax of Martinsburg; a brother, Johnny Arvin Dahmer of Franklin; two sisters, Elvira J. Crummett and Jenny A. Vandevander, both of Franklin and 11 grandchildren.

she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lucy Verona Pitsenbarger, Estella Rose Dahmer and Arla E. Sponaugle.  

The Revs. Kevin Hand and Donald Wilkinson conducted the funeral Wednesday at the Franklin Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.

Memorial donations may be made to Franklin Presbyterian Church, Franklin Rescue Squad or PAWS.

Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin was in charge of funeral arrangements. 

Dianna L. Pope, 57

Dianna Lynn Nesselrodt Pope, 57, of Brandywine died Friday, April 27, 2007, at her home. 

Mrs. Pope was born Aug. 17, 1949, in Harrisonburg, VA, and was the daughter of Beulah Lantz Dove of Brandywine and the late Boyd Dowe Dove, Sr.

She graduated from Harrisonburg, High School and was a member of Melrose Church of the Brethren.  She lived in Harrisonburg, VA, until moving to Brandywine a year ago. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Daniel P. Pope, whom she married June 23, 2006; a son, Michael E. Nesselrodt of Harrisonburg, VA; two grandchildren; and a nephew.  

Pastor Guy Hudson conducted a memorial service Monday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, VA.  Burial will be private. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-1942.
