Erma Alice Waggy
Erma Alice Waggy, 88, of Franklin died Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
She was born Feb. 19, 1923, at Smith Creek and was the daughter of the late Albert Ross Simmons and LevieSusan Lambert Simmons.
Mrs. Waggy was a homemaker and a member of the Smith Creek Church of the Brethren.
On April 12, 1947, she married Claude Waggy, who preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2002.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie G. Mitchell and husband, Roger of Upper Tract and Judy A. Ralston andhusband, David of Monterey, VA; one son, Danny C. And wife, Margaret of Franklin; two sisters, Ruby Propst and husband, Ira of Franklin, and Reba Wiseman of Winter Haven, FL; one grandson, Stacy Waggy of Franklin; a number of nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Ramona Luckel and Anna Tesi and husband, Brian; and a number of great nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Norma Warner; and one brother, Jesse Guy Simmons.
Funeral Services were held Sunday at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Rev. Stanley Kileofficiating. Burial was at the Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin.

Robbie Dean Martin
Robbie Dean (Bennett) Martin, 89, of Circleville peacefully slipped away in her sleep to be with her Lord onThursday, April 28, 2011, at Pendleton Manor, Franklin.
Born April 17, 1922, in Macksville, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Edie Catherine Bennett.
Mrs. Martin graduated from Circleville High School in 1941, where she was a member of the first ladiesbasketball team. She was selected as the MVP in 1939.
She was also a member of the Spruce Knob CEOS Club, the Farm Women’s Club, a regular at the North ForkSenior Center and a faithful member of the North Fork Baptist Church.
Her husband, Nathaniel H. Martin, preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, George Wayne Bennett and wife, Rebecca (Lambert) Bennett of Seneca Rocks; twosisters, Mildred Bennett, formerly of Onego and Peggy Bennett of Washington, DC; one grandson, Terry Wayne Bennett and wife, Lora (Pennington) Bennett of Petersburg; three great-granddaughters, Michaela Catherine Bennett, Madison Haylee Bennett and Mariah ReAnn Bennett, all of Petersburg; several nieces and nephews; and special neighbors and friends, Charles and Sue Raines and David and Kitty Sponaugle.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Garth Bennett and Eli Bennett; three step-brothers, ZenusBennett, Flick Bennett and George Chew; two sisters; Ruth Harper and Marie Bennett; four step-sisters, Ethel, Evelyn, Virgie and Dora; and a great-grandson, Miles Eli Bennett.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the chapel of the Basagic Funeral Home, Petersburg, with Rev. MarkMcAllister officiating. Interment was at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.
Memorial may be made to the North Fork Baptist Church.
