Kenneth Bowman, Jr., 70
Kenneth W. Bowman, Jr., 70, of Dunlap, TN, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Centerafter a long illness.
Mr. Bowman was born on November 2, 1941 at Mount Jackson, VA a son of the late Kenneth W. Bowman, Sr.and Vivian Lamma Poole.
Mr. Bowman was a member of Morningstar Lutheran Church in Mount Jackson, VA. He was a retired coalminer and was owner of Cagle Mountain Stone in Dunlap, TN.
Surviving are a companion, Karen Wheeler of Dunlap, TN; two sons, Larry Bowman and wife Debbie ofLewisburg, and Scotty Bowman of Ghent; daughters, Faith Grizzle and Chrystal Joyce and husband Brian, both of Beckley; a brother, Richard H. Bowman and wife Nancy of Richmond, VA; sisters, Virginia Rich and husband Steve of Eads, TN, Doris Brackenrich of Franklin, and Jeannie Poole of Eads, TN; six grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews; also, a stepson, Toby.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Morningside Lutheran Church, Mount Jackson, VA with Rev. SteveWhitten officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Bruce Hedrick, 76
Bruce Sheldon Hedrick, 76, of Harrisonburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 1, 2012 at RockinghamMemorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, VA.
He was born February 7, 1936, in Ruddle, and was the son of the late Neal Andrew and Mary Meadows Hedrick.
Mr. Hedrick retired after 30 years of service to the Indiana Bell Telephone Company, where he worked as aMaintenance Technician. He loved to hunt and fish with his brothers, loved to work in his vegetable garden, and was known by many as a great cook and well-rounded individual.
On June 20, 1997, he married Patricia H. Hedrick, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Patricia Hedrick, Barbara Hedrick, and Susie Hedrick; two brothers, MarvinHedrick and Glenn Hedrick; and two sisters, Loretta Crider and Goldie Howell.
He was also preceded in death by a step-son, Steven Hedrick; three brothers; and two sisters.
A funeral service was held Friday at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg with Rev. Randy Millerofficiating. Burial followed at Rawley Springs Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Marie Doris (Stump) Kimble, 80, of Franklin passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Rockingham MemorialHospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
She was born on April 16, 1932, in Petersburg, the daughter of the late Vinceon Alston and Phoebe Jane (Kile)Stump.
Mrs. Kimble was a 1951 graduate of Petersburg High School, and a member of the Walnut Street UnitedMethodist Church and the ladies auxiliary. She retired in 1993, after 31 years of service with Westinghouse Electric Co. in Baltimore, MD. After 40 years in Baltimore, MD, the Kimbles moved back to West Virginia.
On Sept. 2, 1961, she married Daniel (Johnnie) Kimble, who lives survives.
Also surviving are a a sister, Dallie Stump of Grant County Nursing Home, in Petersburg, and three generationsof nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Rupert, Marlin, Raymond, and Mervin Stump, and two sisters,Glenna Stump and Neva Kesner.
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Walnut Street United Methodist Church, Franklin with Rev. RobertAnderson, Pastor Rita Beeman and Pastor Greg Rotruck officiating. Interment was in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Upper Tract.

Marion V. “Bill” Wimer
Age 88, of Franklin, WV, died Saturday, at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.
He was born June 13, 1924 at Moyers and was a son of the late Marion Wimer and Mattie Moates Wimer.
A 1942 graduate of Franklin High School he was a veteran having served in the US Army during World War II.
He was a parts manager for Sites Chevrolet and had worked for the WV Division of Highways. He was amember of St. John Lutheran Church, VFW Post 9666 and American Legion Post 30.
On December 23, 1946, he married Bonnie Hoover Wimer, who survives.
Also survived by a daughter Linda Fay Rexrode and husband, Gerald of Sugar Grove; two sons: Vernon LeeWimer and wife, Shirley and Jerry Allen Wimer and wife, Ann, all of Franklin; one sister: Ella Mae Rexrode of Pendleton Manor, Franklin; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Warren Wimer, Edwin Wimer and Galen Wimer; and twosisters: Ruby Chambers and Cleo Taylor.
Funeral services were held at Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Pastors Craig and Wendy Richter,officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Franklin.

Charlotte W. Depoy
Charlotte Marie Whetzel Depoy, 77, a resident of Harrisonburg, VA, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012.
Mrs. Depoy was born on April 26, 1935 in Linville, VA and was the daughter of th late Joseph E. And LottieVirginia Huffman Whetzel.
She worked in the dietary department for 35 years at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, VA.
On May 23, 1959, she married Weldie R. Depoy, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1989.
Surviving are a daughter, Carrol King and husband, Charles of Franklin; a sister, Iva Boyers of Staunton, VA;five grandchildren, Angie Simmons, Ashley Phillips, Ronnie Forbus, Charles Robert King and Joseph Michael King; 11 great-grandchildren, Hannah Marie Simmons, Alaska Rae Kimble, Lilly Faith Phillips, Levi Shawn Phillips, Layla Rayne Phillips, Taylor Marie Forbuys, Kristopher Scott King. Charles William Isaac King, Chloe Elizabeth King, Gavin King and Heather King.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Weldie “Tommy” Depoy, who passed away on Feb. 12, 2011.
Funeral services were held Friday at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel., Harrisonburg, VA, with Pastor KenDolan officiating. Burial followed at Linville Cemetery.

Jack Lee Cutlip. 61
Jack Lee Cutlip, age 61, of Franklin, died Monday, July 9, 2012 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital inHarrisonburg.
Born on January 17, 1951 at Sutton, to the late William Henry and Mary Jane Lewis Cutlip.
Mr. Cutlip attended schools in Braxton County. He was retired from Pilgrims Pride and Wampler Poultry, wherehe worked in the live hanging department.
Surviving are three brothers, Bruce Cutlip of Franklin, Ralph Cutlip and wife Patricia, and Ira Cutlip and wifeMaggie, all of Goochland, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl; and a sister, Virginia Pearl Kline.
A graveside service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Exchange.
