Gae N. Smith
Mrs. Gae N. Smith, 92, of Riverton died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.
She was born June 13, 1917, at Circleville and was the daughter of the late Zola Warner and Lillie Wimer.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Riverton United Methodist Church.
On Feb. 19, 1936, she married J. Ralph Smith, who preceded her in death in 1982.
She is survived by two sisters, Mildred Vance and Wilda Hartman, both of Petersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece and caregiver, Linda Ruddle of Franklin.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Wimer; and one half-brother, Gale Warner.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Chapel of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin with Rev. Jerry Smith and Richard Warner officiating. Burial was at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton.

Roy Kimble, 81
Roy Denver Kimble, Sr., 81, of Blue Grass, VA, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Peterburg.
He was born March 27, 1928, at Landis, a son of the late Okey and Beulah Virginia (Alt) Kimble.
Mr. Kimble was a member of the Blue Grass United Methodist Church. He had been a truck driver for Lowry Logging Company and a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
He enjoyed family get-togethers and reunions.
On Oct. 5 1948, he married Mary Virginia (Barkley) Kimble, who preceded him in death on April 14, 1991.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara K. and Hal T. Warner of Blue Grass, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, Roy D., Jr. and Linda Kimble of Blue Grass, VA; three grandchildren, Chad Kimble, Tony Warner and Tara Warner; seven great-grandchildren, Haley and Sadie Warner, Lucas Mullenax, Mikie and Mary Kaytlin Lambert, Emily and Evan Kimble; two brothers, Marvin Kimble of Petersburg and Harlan Kimble of Old Town, MD; and a special friend, Marie Rexrode of Monterey, VA.
He was also predeceased by a great-grandson, Trenton John Warner; a sister, M. Catherine Cook; and two brothers, Charlie and Richard Kimble.
A funeral service will be conducted today at 11 a.m. at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, VA, with the Rev. Andre Crummett officiating. Burial will be in the Blue Grass Cemetery.

The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, VA.
Charlena Jane Parrish
Charlena Jane Parrish, 91, passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.
She was born in Somerville, MA, on Sept. 20, 1917, the daughter of the late John O. and Arlene Holt Riggs.
She retired in 1982 as a supervisor for Sylvania Electronics.
She was twice married. Her first husband, A. David BJorkgren, preceded her in death in 1969, and her second husband, Leroy Parrish, preceded her in death in 1984.
Surviving are two daughters, Charlena Sharon Santry of Hyannis, MA, Karla Jane Ritcey and husband, Everett of Waltham, MA; a son, David BJorkgren and wife Nancy of Franklin; 12 grandchildren, Corrie BJorkgren, John BJorkgren and wife, Amy, Deirdre Dow and husband, Chuck, William Greer, Debra Kelly, Karin Pope, Brenda Eaves, Robert BJorkgren, Sonja Towey, Karla Gehring, Melody BJorkgren and Naoma BJorkgren; 23 great-grandchildren, including Coleman Dow, Jada Dow, Shinnelle BJorkgren, Karissa BJorkgen, Colby BJorkgren and Micah BJorkgren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert, in 2005.
Rev. Dr. Milton Boyle will conduct a graveside service today at 1:00 p.m. at the Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua, NH.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Basagic Funeral Home, Franklin, and Davis Funeral Home in Nashua, NH.
