William Hinkle Ruddle
Mr. William Hinkle Ruddle, 95, of Franklin died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospitalin Harrisonburg, Virginia.
He was born January 9, 1916 at Deer Run and was the son of the late Taylor Ruddle and Bessie Mahulda HenkelRuddle.
Mr. Ruddle was a plumber, having worked as a civilian contractor for the U.S. Navy. He was a member of theMt. Zion United Methodist Church, Franklin Moose Lodge and Franklin Volunteer Fire Dept.
He was first married to Hazel Pauline Judy Ruddle Slusser. On February 19,1951, he married Mary FrancesShobe Ruddle, who preceded him in death on June 17, 1979.
Surviving are one daughter, Donna Sponaugle of Arlington, VA; three sons, Dale Ruddle and his wife, Anita ofPhilippi; Steven Ruddle of Franklin; Randy Ruddle and his wife, Frances of Franklin; one brother, Raleigh Ruddle and his wife, Genevieve of Franklin; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin with Rev. Robert Andersonand Pastor Rob Borror officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin.

Lester V. Puffenbarger
Mr. Lester V. Puffenbarger, 97, of Brandywine died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Pendleton Manor inFranklin.
He was born November 8, 1914 at Brandywine and was the son of the late William Puffenbarger and IdaDickerson Puffenbarger.
Mr. Puffenbarger was a farmer, had worked for Wampler Foods and was a member of Riverside UnitedMethodist Church.
On August 1, 1933, he married Verna Mae Mitchell Puffenbarger, who preceded him in death on June 17, 2002.
Surviving are one son, Billy Puffenbarger of Brandywine; five grandchildren, Denise, Neil, Pam Parker, KristaRessin, Brian Puffenbarger and Aaron Puffenbarger; fourteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Ted Puffenbarger; two brothers, Roy Puffenbarger; and DeweyPuffenbarger; and one sister, Vergie Wilfong.
Funeral services will be held Monday, at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin with Rev. Cynthia Skinnerofficiating. Interment will be at the Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Debra Hutchins Wilfong, 59
Debra K. (Hutchins) Wilfong died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at her home in Warren, MI.
She was born July 11, 1952.
On Sept. 12, 1970, she married John Wilfong, formerly of Sugar Grove.
She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Dwayne) Arneil and Brian Wilfong of Michigan and Kristina Wilfongof Florida and grandchildren, Tyler, Paige, Briana and Josie of Michagan.
Arrangements were by Schultz Funeral Home.
She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law, Violet Autumann.
Kathryn Goodnight, 80
Mrs. Kathryn Laura Goodnight, 80, of Upper Tract died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Pendleton Manor inFranklin.
She was born March 12, 1931 in Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Bartow.
She had worked as a seamstress at Dalton's Clothing Factory in Willoughby, Ohio.
Her husband, William "Bill" Goodnight, preceded her in death on November 12, 2006.
Surviving are one daughter - Sandra Ann Hommel of Geneva, OH; and one son - Carl Bowman of Mentor, OH.
Entombment will be at the Western Reserve Memorial Garden in Chesterland, Ohio
