Adam R. Warner

Adam Russell Warner, 41, of Upper Tract died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, in Balo Horizonte, Brazil. 

Mr. Warner was born Dec. 10, 1962, in Petersburg and was the son of Ruby Gail Hedrick Warner of Upper Tract and the late Harold Warner. 

He was a graduate of Franklin High School and a 1983 graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology.  He had worked as a hotel supervisor at Massanutten Resort.  He served in the U.S. Air force for 13 years and was a veteran of the Persian Gulf War. 

He was a member of the Upper Tract United Methodist Church. 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cristina Maria Costa Warner; a step-daughter, Daniela Morais of Brazil; a step-son, Alessauder Morais of Brazil; seven sisters, Frankie Judy and Bobbie Glover, both of Harrisonburg, VA, Freddie Sincerney of Cleveland, OH, Billie Crigler of south Carolina, Jerrie Wimer of Georgia, Jackie  Pennybacker of Harrisonburg, VA, and Johnnie Ruddle of Riverton; four brothers, Wayne Hedrick of Franklin, Douglas Warner of Charlottesville, VA, Rick Warner of Franklin and Joe Warner of Richmond, VA; and number of nieces and nephews.  

He was also preceded in death by one special nephew, Travis Judy. 

Pastor Perkins and Father Mario Clairo will conduct the funeral at 1 p.m. today at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.  Burial will be at the cherry Hill Cemetery in Upper Tract. 

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the Kimble Funeral Home, Franklin.  

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. 

Robert J. Hull, 19

Robert James "Bobby" Hull, 19, of McDowell, VA, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, near Churchville, VA, as a result of a work accident.

Mr. Hull was born Nov. 10, 1985, in Harrisonburg, VA, and was the son of Steve and Gaye Nell Hull of McDowell, VA. 

He attended Highland High School and McKendree United Methodist Church.  He was employed by Plecker Construction Company.   

Surviving are two sisters, Heather Hicks and husband, Chris and Stephanie Hull, both of Staunton, VA; a brother, William "Billy" Hull and wife, Lisa of Staunton, VA; maternal grandfather, Virgil Shanholtz, formerly of Brandywine; paternal grandmother, Adeline Hull of Doe Hill, VA; paternal great-grandmother, Lola Armstrong of Monterey, VA; a nephew and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.  

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Madaline Shanholtz, and paternal grandfather, Hubert hull. 

The Rev. Dave Boger conducted a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, VA. 

The body was cremated.

Mabel C. McDonald

Mabel Catherine McDonald, 91, of Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin and formerly of Riverton, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at the nursing home.

Mrs. McDonald was born Nov. 25, 1913, in Riverton, a daughter of the late Phillip H. Kisamore and Cordelia Nelson Kisamore.

She was a homemaker, an Avon representative for over 40 years and attended Riverton United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Riverton United Methodist Church. 

Her husband Donald Dwight McDonald preceded her in death Nov. 5, 1967.

She is survived by two sons, Donald P. McDonald of Harrisonburg, Va., and Barth A “Jack” McDonald of Blanchard, OK; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by one son, Forrest Wayne “Sonny” McDonald; seven brothers, Mack, Henry, Emery, Mason, Robert, Clem and Jason.

The Revs. Barbara Rexroad and Kenneth DeWitt conducted the funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Riverton United Methodist Church.  Burial followed at North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton.   

Memorials may be made to Pendleton Nursing Home or Pendleton County Rescue Squad.  

Arrangements were by the Basagic Funeral Home, Franklin.   

Mabel C. Dyer, 93

Mabel Conrad Dyer, 93, of Fort Seybert died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin where she had lived for several years. 

Mrs. Dyer was born Feb. 11, 1911, in Fort Seybert and was the daughter of the late James William Conrad and Magdalene Eye Conrad. 

She was a home caregiver and a member of Fairview-Bethel United Methodist Church. 

Her husband, William R. Dyer, preceded her in death. 

She is survived by two nieces and five nephews. 

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bill Conrad, Paul Conrad and Hugh Conrad, and two sisters, Ruth Dyer and Mary Carter. 

Pastor Mark James conducted the funeral Monday at Fairview-Bethel United Methodist Church in Fort Seybert.  Burial was at Fairview-Bethel Cemetery in Fort Seybert. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Pendleton Nursing Home, P.O. Box 700, Franklin WV, 26807. 

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin. 

Blanche Harold, 93

Maggie Blanche Harold, 93, of Brandywine died Monday, Dec 20,2004, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg. 

Ms. Harold was born June 24, 1911, in Emden IL, and was the daughter of the late Floyd Harold and Ada Hartman Harold. 

She was a homemaker and made her home with James R. Helmick for 64 years.  She was a member of Brandywine Christian Church. 

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. 

Pastor Travis Dowdy conducted the funeral Wednesday at the Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin.  Burial was at Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandywine.  

Memorial donations may be made to the Pendleton Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 727, Franklin, WV  26807.  

Charlene Dotson, 48

Charlene Vance Dotson, 48, of Hockley, TX, and formerly of Alliance, OH, died at 11:35 p.m. Dec. 12, 2004, at Memorial Hospital in Houston TX.  

She was born August 2, 1957, in Alliance, OH, to William and Eldora Warner Vance and lived most of her life in the Alliance, OH area.  

Mrs. Dotson graduated from Marlington High School in 1974 and attended Bible College in Springfield, MO. 

She was employed by Kingwood College as a food director.  

Survivors include her mother, Eldora Vance of Alliance, OH, and formerly of Franklin; her husband, Robert Dotson, whom she married Oct. 2, 1998; one daughter Christina Reutski of Alliance, OH; two brothers, Donald E. (Barbara) Vance of Cedarville, OH, and Dennis H. Vance of Alliance, OH; and several nieces and nephews. 

Services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cassady-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home, Alliance, OH, with Pastor Paul Phillips officiating.  Interment was at Highland Memorial Park.
