it). I think it would have been taken around 1880 due to the type
of picture it is. She was married in 1878. |

Harriett Curry or Rebecca Duffield. There is no marking, but it is
either Newton Duffield's mother (Rebecca Duffield), or his wife"s
mother (Harriet Curry). " |

17. The Duffield Sugar Camp about
1894. The adult in the front (kneeling) is Henry Wesley Duffield who
fought in the Civil Sar. The adults standing in the back are Rebecca
Sharp Duffield, Nancy Duffield Ratliff, Newton Duffield, Elizabeth
Curry Duffield, and Marcellus Ratliff. Rosa Duffield is on the far
left. Gertrude Duffield is on the far right. George Duffield is standing
in the front in front of Rebecca Sharp Duffield, John is sitting on
the stump (the furthest left teenager of the 6 people on the right
of the photo).
