WILLIAMS, GRIMM
Looking for anything on LEWIS WILLIAMS (b. ca. 1824, Va.) and his wife,
MALINDA GRIMM (b. ca. 1826, Va.). It appears Lewis died between 1860-70
. In 1870 Malinda and children were living in Sissonsville; by 1880 in
Raymond City. Children (from census) were: Elizabeth (b. 1846); John C
. Williams, (b. 1855); Judia Frances (Fanny, b. 28 Apr 1856, Kanawha Co
., m. John B. DODD, d. 4 Oct 1931); perhaps James b. 1860 who may be the
same person as Marshall, b. 1861. I think Lewis Williams had a brother
named MARSHALL WILLIAMS. They may be from the Gassaway-Sissonsville area.

I am trying to locate the ancesters of my grandmother, Charlotte Myrtle
Fewell (DOB: 4-14-1886), who married Otto Oly Maddox on 8/31/1904. She
is the daughter of Charles W. Fewell and Emma Lyon of Black Betsy, WV.
I am told she was a twin to Charles, and had two sisters and another brother,
Roy, also that they were French and fled France during the French Revolution.
I was unable to find anything at the Putnam County Courthouse, or at the
Cultural Center in Charleston. I'm new at this and am probably overlooking
something. Any information or direction anyone can lead me in would be
greatly appreciated.

went to Louisville, Kentucky, where my grandmother was adopted around
