The grave of Captain Stewart is marked by the D.A.R. at the Keatley Cemetery on Clear Fork, between Oceana and Kopperston.  The place where he is buried is known as the James Mandeville Homestead, at what was formerly known as the Craney post office.    This cemetery has also been known as the Cozort Cemetery.
