!WHAT'S NEW! For the Ritchie County Cemetery Index

June, 2001
After years of hard work, Paul Cox has passed the reigns on to someone new. As an indication of all the time and effort Paul has put in to this site, it's going to take 2 of us to replace him.
The new "caretakers" if you will, are the father and son team of Earl and Ray Cowan. I'm sure many of you are already familiar with Earl through all the genealogy searching he has done in Ritchie County. Ray(yours truly) is just the computer geek of the family.
Dad will be taking care of all the picture work, preparing them for inclusion on the site. If you have any pictures you'd like to have placed on this site, e-mail them to him as the Caretaker. I'll be taking care of actually placing the pictures on the site and generating all of the web pages. If you have any comments or suggestions on the design of the site, send them to me as the Webmaster.
I'm going to try to keep a list of recent additions and updates to the site here so frequent visitors only need check here to see what's new. I hope you enjoy the site and I look forward to hearing from you.

Removed the frames from the main cemetery page.

Chevauxdefrise/Kendall Cemetery - Union District was modified. It has a new format so you don't have to download all of the images when you visit a page. There are links to the headstone pictures from the names in a list. For easier navigation, the page uses frames. It also requires you have JavaScript enabled to view the page.
