Robert Rosier ![]()
Robert Glen "Bob" Rosier, 59, departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 28 in Humble, Texas.
He was born Oct. 1 ,1947 at Mt. Zion Community, a son of the late Junior H. Rosier and Shirley M. Strawderman Rosier.
Surviving are two daughters Cheryl M. Rosier of Elkins and Tanya and Roger Cummings of N.C.; one son Robert G. Rosier Jr. of Elkins; four grandchildren Lindsay Ray and Kaitlyn Preston of Elkins, Roger Dale and Savannah Cummings of N.C.; three sisters Linda and Steve Pennington of Windham, Ohio, Carolyn and Alan Jones and Rachel and Don Carr of Parsons; many loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by a brother Billy, grandparents Pearl and Earl Strawderman, Bessie and Arthur "Pete" Rosier.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-70 and was employed as a mechanic for Nissan for many years.
At the request of the deceased, his body was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Rosewood Funeral Home of Humble, Texas was in charge of the arrangements.
Donald Young ![]()
Donald M. Young, 80, of Adrian, Mich. passed away on Jan. 3 at his home.
He was born Sept. 20, 1925 at Leadmine, the son of Williams Young and Opal Evans Young Judy. On May 1, 1945 in Baxton, Mass., he was married to Ruth Clark, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter Donna Jean Merritt and Virgil of Georgia; a son of Steven Young and Ellen of Adrian, Mich., ; two grandsons Dan (and Alison) and Don Merritt, all of Georgia,; two granddaughters Cindi Young and Connie and Lynn Hinkley, all of Michigan; one great-granddaughter Kandace Hinkley; six sisters Dorothy Johnson, Betty Neel, Janice McDaniel, Wilma Lantz, all of Parsons, Shirley Dennis of Columbus, Ohio and Pat Somerville of Elkins; two brothers Allen Judy and James Judy; two very good friends and neighbors Ray and Gisila Jody of Adrian, Mich., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Carol; one sister Jean Butts and his step-father Bill Judy.
He attended school at Leadmine. As a very young man, he joined the CCC's and later the US Navy. He retired from GM Powertrain of Toledo, Ohio with 31 1/2 years of service. He was a truck farmer, hunter and fisherman. He loved Gospel and Blue grass music, played the guitar and banjo.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 6 at Bethany Assembly of God Church in Adrian, Mich. Burail was followed in Lenawa Hills Memorial GArden with full military rites.
