Fanny M. Kosanic

Fanny Marie Kosanic, 77, formerly of Davis, who resided many years with her sister, Rose Mary and following her death moved to the residence of her nephew, Bill Kosanic, and for the past 4 years has resided with her great-niece and nephew, Shannon and Tim Lindsey and son, Ian of Beverly, passed away March 28, 2006, at Elkins.

She was born June 21, 1928, at Davis, a daughter of the late John and Josephine Dolenc Kosanic.

She is survived by one sister, Helen Mears of Cleveland, Ohio; one step-brother, Buddy Zordani of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Johnny and Frank Kosanic; and four sisters, Josephine Burger, Elizabeth Zajac, Tilly Lantz and Rose Mary Kosanic.

Fanny was a homemaker who enjoyed helping her neighbors as much as she could. She enjoyed crocheting, walking, working in the yard and picking blueberries along the Blackwater River.

At the request of the deceased, her remains were cremated. A graveside service was held at Davis Cemetery on Saturday, April 1, at 11:30 a.m.  with Fr. Timothy Grassi officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church, P.O. Box 300, Thomas, W.Va. 26292 or St. Brendan Catholic Church, P.O. Box 2005, Elkins, W.Va. 26241. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.   

Delvin Moreland 

Delivn Allen Moreland, 68, of Rt. 2 Box 214, Keyser, formerly of Lothian, Md., died Tuesday March 28, at the SAcred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, MD. 

He was born July 1, 1937 at Bretz, a son of the late Leo and Hallie Marie (McDaniel) Moreland. 

Mr. Moreland was retired as a building manager with the United States Treasury Department in Washington, D.C. with over 25 years of service.  He was a 1956 graduate of Bayard High School in Bayard and was Protestant by faith. 

Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Marie (Gower) Moreland of Lothian, Md. 

At Mr. Moreland's request, there will be no visitation or services. 

Interment in the Reese's Cemetery, Fort Ashby, will be at the convenience of the family. 

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the American Diabetes Association, WV  Affiliate, 1221-A Ohio Avenue, Dunbar, WV  25064.  

The Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
