Glenn Fint

Glenn Owen Fint, 82, of Old Fields and Aurora, died at home on June 2.  He was born Dec 20, 1923 in Aurora. 

Survivors include his wife Ilene Martin Fint of Old Fields; two sons Robert Glenn Fint of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and Joseph William and Stacy Fint of Aurora; two daughters Nancy Evelyn and Carl winters of Manassas, Va. and Linda Carol Roberson of Blacksburg, Va.; 1 brother Roy Fint of Aurora; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  

Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  

Kenneth Sisler 

Kenneth Merl "Beany" sisler, 69 of jacksonville, N.C. and a native of thomas, died May 25. 

Survivors include a daughter Angela Lynn Houser of Margie Valley, N.C.; three brothers Arlo (and Jenny) Sisler of Huntington, Sherman (and Mary) Sisler of Kerens and Harry (and Arvella) Sisler of Petersburg; and two grandchildren Garrett Jackson Houser and Haley Denise Houser. 

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Lola Schrock Sisler; a brother Paul Sisler and a sister Dora Harvey. 

he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He loved camping, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.  He was a member of the Moose Lodge. 

Private services will be held in Jacksonville.  Asheville Mortuary Services, 89 B Thompson Street, Asheville, N.C.  28803.
