George Fazenbaker

George F. Fazenbaker, 69, of Doylestown, Ohio, died June 4, at Doylestown Health Care Center.  He was born Marcy 27, 1937 in Sulley, a son of Paul E. and Jennie (Kerns) Fazenbaker. He married Betty Nestor on April 20, 1963. 

Survivors include his wife Betty Bazenbaker; a daughter Patricia Smith; three sons DeWayne Fazenbaker, George E. Fazenbbaker and Gregory and Amber Fazenbaker,; eight grandchildren Alesha and Crystal Smith, Ashley, Jessica, Caryssa, Justin, Tryston and Jordynn Fazenbaker; three brothers Bill Fazenbaker, Charles and Betty Fazenbaker and Dewey Fazenbaker. 

He was preceded in death by a brother Gene Fazenbaker. 

He was a 1955 graduate of Parsons High School.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 7, at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home.  

Ronald Miller Sr.

Ronald C. Miller Sr., 89, a former resident of Parsons, and more recently a resident of Maybeury, went home to be with the Lord at 9 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2006, in Princeton Community Hospital at Princeton.

He was born Thursday, Nov. 9, 1916, at Tucker County, a son of the late Oscar C. Miller and Edith Grace Loughry Miller.  On July 7, 1938, he married his beloved wife, the former Helen Hebb, who went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2000. They had celebrated almost sixty-two years of marriage.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gary "Shirley A." Colbert Sr. of Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Thomas "Donna J." Collins of Nutter Fort and Mrs. Ronald "Karen E." Simmons of Harker Heights, Texas; one son, the Rev. Ronald C. “Butch” Miller Jr. and wife Linda of Maybeury; two sisters, Wanda Hinkle of Parsons and Hazel Nava of Pueblo, Col.; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death besides his parents and wife are two sisters, Elva Anderson and Iva Waybright; and three brothers, Dale, Ray and Vance Miller.

Mr. Miller had worked for the United States Government at the Fernow Experimental Forest for several years, retiring in 1980. 

Mr. Miller gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ in September 1954 and became a member of the Parsons Church of God. He was a member there until 2002 at which time he transferred his membership to his son’s church, The Maybeury Church of God at Maybeury, where he remained a faithful and loyal Christian. He had served as the clerk of the Parsons Church of God around 30 years. He was also a loyal tithe payer for almost fifty-two years and also supported missions.

The family will receive friends at Parsons Church of God from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 on Thursday, June 15. Final Rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, at the church. The Rev. Eli D. Hosteteler will officiate and interment will follow in Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Ronald C. Dora Quattro

Dora Lee Quattro, 82, of Davis, passed away Friday, June 9, 2006 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital at Oakland, Md.

She was born April 26, 1924, at Davis, a daughter of the late Leo William and Jesse Agnes Whitehair Lahman.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest A. Quattro Sr. of Davis; three sons, James R. and Mary Quattro of Elizabeth City, N.C., Earnest A. Quattro Jr. of Summersville and Robert A. (and Barbara) Quattro of Davis; two brothers, Glen Lahman of Wyandott, Mich., and Harold Lahman of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Hall and Helen Putz, both of Wyandott, Mich.; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Mrs. Quattro was a housewife. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #936 Auxiliary, DVFD Auxiliary and the Ladies Guild of St. Veronica Parish.

At the request of the deceased, her remain were cremated. Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis on Saturday, June 17 from 2 to 4 p.m.  Memorial donations may be made in her name to Cortland Acres Nursing Home, HC 60, Box 98, Thomas, WV 26292. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
