William Bolinger

William "Bill" Bolinger,68,of Amherst, Ohio died Friday,Sept.29 at Community Health Partner in Lorain.

He was born June 25,1938 in Hendricks,

Survivors include his wife Linda, son Brian, daughter, Katherine; grandchildren Jennifer and Jonathon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, Oct.2 at the Hempel  Funeral Home. Burial was in Ridge Hill Memorial Park. The Parsons Advocate 10-4-06.

Marjorie B. Calder

Marjorie, beloved wife and companion of William, passed away peacefully in her home on Sept.26,2006.

Respecting her wishes, she will be cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Friends will be notified. The Parsons Advocate 10-4-06.

Paul L. Frymyer

Paul Lee Frymyer, 56, of Parsons, passed away Sept. 27, 2006, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Md.

He was born Jan. 28, 1950, at Morgantown, a son of the late James Willard and Rosetta Belle Beckett Frymyer.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Freet Frymyer; one daughter, Tammy Lenore Frymyer of Davis; one brother, James Frymyer of Elkins; four sisters, Mary Savage of Oakland, Md., Rosetta Phillips of Parsons, Grace Smith of Louisiana, and Louise Waybright of Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Willard Lee Frymyer; two brothers, Otis Franklin and Willard Frymyer Jr.; and two sisters, Macel Lorraine and Freda Mae Frymyer.

Mr. Frymyer worked as a laborer in the construction business.

Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis on Friday. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Pat Cassidy officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. 

Mary Summerfield

Mary Marie Drane Summerfield, 88, a resident of Moore Community,  and more recently a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home of Elkins, departed this life early Friday morning, Sept. 29, 2006, in the nursing home.

She was born May 29, 1918, at Wyatt, a daughter of the late William Golden Drane and Jessie Louise Moore Drane.   During 1937, at Parsons, she was married to Vineyard Bruce Summerfield, who preceded her in death, May 11, 1987.

Surviving are one son, Albin Marion Summerfield and wife, Norma, of Moore Community; one stepson, Junior Maynard Summerfield and wife, Betty, of Rowlesburg; three grandsons, Thomas Bruce Summerfield and Nikki, David Allen Summerfield and wife DeAnna and Anthony Ward; and six great-grandchildren.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by one stepson, Wade Lee Summerfield; three sisters, Lucille Miner, Sarah M. Drane and Elsie M. Drane; and one great-granddaughter, Aleaha.

She attended the schools of Marion County. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was an employee of the former Tucker County Hospital, White Gables and retired from Nella’s Nursing Home. She loved her grandchildren and her animals.

The family received friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons Saturday, Sept. 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. Final rites were conducted at the funeral home parlor Sunday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m. Pastor Allen D. Crosten officiated and interment followed in Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons. Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Mary Marie Drane Summerfield. Evelyn M. Speir

Evelyn Mae Claspill Speir, 94, passed away Oct. 1, 2006, at Justahilly Farm, Red Creek.

She was born Aug. 25, 1912, at Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late Charles Busler Claspill and Margaret Schissler Claspill.  On Oct. 26, 1934, she married Frederick Leslie Speir Sr., who preceded her in death in 1997.

She is survived by one son, Frederick Leslie Speir Jr. and wife Sarah Bennett Speir; one sister, Virginia Hahn of Charlotte, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Michael Cornelius Strotman of Palm Bay, Fla., and Leslie Evelyn Strotman of Reston, Va.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Laura Evelyn Speir Strotman; one brother, Charles Claspill; and one sister, Mildred Claspill Terry.

Mrs. Speir was a den mother for Cub Scouts, a member of PTA, Presbyterian/Baptist Church, Garden Club and was past president of University Women (Kent State).

Friends will be received at Flanagan Hill United Methodist Church at Red Creek from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The Rev. Ric Lewellen will officiate. Interment will follow in Flanagan Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Corp., 1600 Crim Avenue, Belington, WV  26250.  Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
