Abbigayle Pennington
Abbigayle Paige Pennington, 3 months, of Hambleton, departed this life early Wednesday morning, Oct. 10, 2007, at her home. She had been in her usual health and died quietly in her sleep.
She was born Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Weston, a daughter of Larry Grant Pennington II and Cindy Sue Watson Pennington, who survive.
Also surviving are one brother, Levi Grant Pennington, age two; and two sisters, Haley
Brooke Pennington, age six, and Mariah Marie Pennington, age four, all at home; her maternal
grandparents, Robert Franklin Watson Sr. and wife Cheryl of Elkins and Melodie
Marie Mills and husband Jeffrey Wayne Mills of Buckhannon; paternal
grandparents, Larry Grant Pennington and Sandra Kay Bolinger Pennington of
Hendricks; one uncle, Robert Watson Jr. of Tennessee; three aunts, Barbara
Pennington of Dry Fork, Lori Kuykendall of Hendricks and Robin Swecker of Mill
Creek; one step-aunt, Jessika Tennant of Fairmont; and several cousins.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on
Friday, Oct. 12, from noon until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Edward McDaniels
officiated and interment followed in the Fansler Cemetery at Hendricks. The Lohr &
Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Abbigayle Paige

John Calvin Robinson, 88, of Glenwood Retirement Community, Marietta, Ohio, formerly of Vienna, passed away Oct. 9, at the Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 23, 1919, in Parsons, a son of the late Henry G. and Nina Nestor Robinson. John graduated from Parsons High School in 1937 and in 2005 was inducted into the Parsons High School Hall of Fame. He was also awarded a degree from Alderson-Broaddus College by the University of Hard Knocks. John attended Morris Harvey College and Marshall University and in 1937 he enrolled in Civilian Conservation Corps and advanced to Camp Commander. He spent four years in the US Navy during World War II in the Philippines, worked as a contact representative for the VA for 10 years; and worked for the Social Security Administration for 30 years retiring as manager of the Parkersburg District. John was an active member of the Parkersburg Stamp Club serving as president and treasurer and was active with the Parkersburg Coin Club serving as president and secretary. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 172, Vienna; the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry 32, Parkersburg; and was a member of the Wayside United Methodist Church for over 38 years, where he served as president of the administrative board; Lay Leader; conference delegate and served on several other committees. He was a member of the United Methodist Men serving as treasurer for 10 years and served as teacher and president of the Fellowship Sunday School class.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Ernestine Fleming Robinson of Marietta; one son, John David Robinson of Pittsburgh; one daughter, Joanne Denise Robinson and granddaughter, Samantha Jo Robinson of Belpre, Ohio; one sister, Dorothy Campbell of Parsons; and two nieces, Phyllis Lipscomb of Hamblelton, and Arlene Snyder of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Madeline Griffith.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12 at the Wayside United Methodist Church, Vienna with the Dr. Rev. Michael Richards officiating. Entombment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Parkersburg. Visitation was from 2 to 4 and 6:00 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 11 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna.
Memorials may be made to the Wayside United Methodist Church Building Fund.
