Martha Bohon

Martha Elizabeth Miller Bohon, 94,of Hambleton, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 2004, at her home. She had been in declining health for the past two weeks.

She was born Sunday, July 3, 1910, at St. George, a daughter of the late Christopher and Harriet Louise Nethken Miller.  During April 1928, she was married to Oney Bohon, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1958.

Surviving are two sons, Ralph (and Dorothea) Bohon and Earl (and Patricia) Bohon, all of St. George; two daughters, Elma Virginia Stansberry, Livingston, Tenn., and Wilda (and Dave) Stahin , Porterwood; three sisters, Christina Cassidy, Leadmine, Jane Louise Rhoades, Hambleton, and Florence Freda Cogley, St. Cloud, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Bohon; a brother, Joseph Roland Miller; two half brothers, Ruben and Robert Friend; one half sister, Deggie Alice Friend; and three grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons Nov. 2.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home parlor on Wednesday Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Eli Hostetler and Pastor William Woods officiating.  Interment will follow at the Upper Fairview Cemetery at St. George. 

Jack Hansford

Jack M. Hansford, 81, died Oct. 30, 2004, in Marietta, Ga.  

He was born in Parsons, a son of the late David R. and Gladys Buchanan.  Survivors include his wife of 58 years Rosalind; a son David V. Hansford, Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; two daughters Trisha (and David) Parker and Suzanne (and Todd Evans of Georgia; three sisters Letha Ann Hartley of Jacksonville, Fla.,, Diane (and Graham) Pearce of Greensboro, N.C. and Sandy Hansford of Pente Vedra Beach, Fla.; grandchildren Wolfe and Adam Hansford of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Shana (and Jeff) Vest, Allison (and Chris) Currie, Amanda Parker, and Jack (and Danice) Ross all of Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins including David (and Vickie) Hansford of Parsons and Lonnie (and Susan) Wolfe of Elkins.  

He was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1941, was a veteran of Wrold War II, serving for three years as an officer in the U.s. Navy and was a graduate of Marietta College in Ohio.  He worked for Lockheed in Marietta, Ga. and retired after 28 years. 

The Cremation Society of the South was in charge of the arrangement. 

Ina Henline

Ina Belle Henline, 88, of Leadmine, died Oct. 30, 2004, at Cortland Acres Nursing Home, Thomas. 

She was born march 18, 1916, in Leadmine, a daughter of the late Elliott Franklin and Martha Ellen Smith Evans.  

Survivors include a son Irvin (and Wilda) Henline of Leadmine; a daughter Betty Moran of Parsons; a brother Charles Evans of Leadmine; a sister Orpha Dove of Thomas; 15 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.  

She wsa preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Lawrence Henline in 1987; an infant son; two brothers and two sisters.  

Mrs. Henline was a housewife and was affiliated with the Leadmine United Methodist Church.  

Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home on Nov. 1.  Funeral services were held on Nov. 2 at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Neil Parsons officiating.  Interment followed in the Texas Cemetery, HorseShoe Run.  

Virginia Knotts

Virginia Ruth Knotts, 82, of Shirley Hollow Road and formerly of Knotts Road, Meyersdale, died Sept 30, 2004 at Rest Assured Living Center, Meyersdale. 

She was born June 26, 1922, in Pierce, a daughter of the late John and Midgetta (Losh) Stemple. 

Surviving are three sons Richard A. (and Jeannie) Knotts of Frostburg, Md., Alfred R. (and Joyce) Knotts of Berlin and Jacob W. (and Joyce) Knotts Jr. of Hagerstown, Md.; a daughter Alma R. (and Richard) Schwanke of Abingdon, Md.; a brother Edward Stemple of Baltimore, Md.; 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 65 years Jacob W. Knotts Sr.; two sons David Knotts and Donald Knotts Sr.; two two brothers Billy and Leonard Stemple; two sisters Norine Parsons and Nine Wotring. 

Mrs. Knotts was a homemaker. 

Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman.  Funeral services were held at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Landis officiating. Interment followed in the Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe.
