George E. Bryan

George Edward Bryan, 76, a resident of St. George, departed this life late Monday evening, Oct. 29, in Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center at Clarksburg. Death was attributed to a stroke.

He was born Thursday, Oct. 22, 1931, at Roundbottom, Monongalia County, a son of the late Rev. John W. Bryan and Ardith A. Kisner Bryan.  On Oct. 12, 1959, at Ky., he was married to the former Alice “Irene” Kilgore, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Pearson of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Laura Thornburg of Valley Grove; three brothers, John Bryan and wife Tina of Rowlesburg, Ernie Bryan and wife Judy of Ohio, and Ronnie Bryan and wife Betty of Ky.; four grandchildren, Carrie Strait, Tanya Gardner, Jeffrey Thornburg and Jayme Hofmann; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, James and Dallas Bryan; and one sister, Hallie Taylor.

He attended the Waitman Barbe School in Monongalia County. He was a veteran with the United States Army as a corporal, serving in Germany during the early fifties. He retired from Western Union and was a member of W.U.E. Association.  He was a member of Pythagoras Lodge #128 A.F. & A.M. of Parsons of which he was a Past Master. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved to work with wood and had a special relationship with the deer and wildlife.

The family received friends at  Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. Final rites were conducted at the funeral home parlor on Friday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m.  The Rev. John Morrison officiated and interment followed in Summers Cemetery in Monongalia County. Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for George Edward Bryan. Kent Lee

Ennis “Kent” Lee, 71, of Kingwood, formerly of St. George, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

He was born Jan. 10, 1936, in Manheim, a son of the late Ezra Ellis and Nelle Victoria (Hebb) Lee.

Kent was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was active all of his life as an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a master wood craftsman and participated in craft shows for many years with Mary. Kent was also a member of Good Tidings Assembly of God Church on Location Road in St. George.

He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted and loving wife of 51 years, Mary Louise (Carr) Lee.  He is also survived by five doting daughters, Kim and Randy Hartman and Vicki and Lefty Stonebraker, all of Kingwood, Lisa and Carey Livengood of Tucson, Ariz., Ellen Lee of Parsons and Beth and Allen Streets of St. George. Kent had 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, with one great-granddaughter due in December. He is also survived by one sister Vergie Edeburn of Shinnston; two brothers Conley and Leora Lee of Englewood, Ohio, and Lane Lee of Moorefield; one sister-in-law, Olivia Lee of Homeland, Calif.; one niece; and two nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Don Allen Lee; a sister-in-law, Patty Lee; a brother-in-law, Bill Edeburn and one great-grandson, Rylan Axil Vanscoy.

Friends and family were received at Browning Funeral Home, Kingwood from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2. On Saturday, Nov. 3, Mr. Lee was moved to Shepherd’s Tent Ministries Church to lie in repose from noon to 1 p.m. the funeral hour with Pastors Ernie and Bonnie Rowen officiating. Julianne Turner

Julianne Wigginton Turner, 60, of Columbus, Ind., died Oct. 31 Columbus, Ind. died Sunday, Oct. 28. 

SHe was born in Akron,Ohio, Aug. 25, 1947, daughter of the late Hrold "Tex" Wigginton and Viola Galli Wiginton of Akron, Ohio.  She moved to the WAdswroth, Ohio area in 186, where she met and married husband Jerry. 

Survivors inlcude her husband; her mother; a sister, Christina (Billy) Rhodes of Akron, Ohio; three daughters; two sons; and 19 grandchildren. 

Friends were received at the Myers Reed Chapel, 3729 25th Street, Columbus, Ind.,. on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and Thursday, Nov. 1 at Northview Assembly of God Church, prior to the funeral services which were held at 10:30 a.m.
