Esther Hamilton

Esther Hamilton, 90, of Fairmont, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown. 

She was born in Parsons on July 10, 1916, a daughter of the late Thomas Isner and Naomi Keller Isner. 

She is survived by a sister-in-law Geraldine Isner of Parsons; several nieces and nephews, including a niece and her caregiver for many years Jennifer Huffman of Fairmont; a nephew Oop Jolly and his wife Judy of Parsons; and several great nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth E. Hamilton in 1985; four brothers Frank Isner, Forrest Isner, Hubert Isner and Sylvester Isner; and three sisters Virginia Jolly, Zettia Kerr and a sister who passed away in childhood.

Mrs. Hamilton retired from the Westinghouse Lamp Plant in Fairmont after many years of service.  She was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene.  She enjoyed visiting with friends and keeping herself busy.  Bron and raised in Parsosn, she was always happy when she could return there to visit with friends and relatives. 

Friends and family called at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Monday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18 at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Hendrixon officiating.  Interment followed at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
